EOT 9: Shore Pine 1

This tree was picked out by Matt Reel at the Portland Bonsai Event and collected by Anton Nijhuis.

1-Late Summer 2020

Initially purchased at the Portland Bonsai Event in 2020.

Removed the tree from plastic container to examine the condition of the roots.

Reduced the rootball and added it to a terracota container. This will help with growth of new roots.

Time to display the shore pine with a scroll to best refelct its natural habitat next to a shore.

Here is the tree at the Winter Silhoutte Bonsai Show in. Kannapolis during a demo. Goal is to start compacting the tree and styling it.

Raffia was applied and branches were bent to compact the foliage.

After the show, the tree was taking back to Dgwood studios and finsied the detialed styling.
